SALUD LOPEZ PROJECT (SLD)

DANCE / PERFORMANCE ART. These two disciplines are dealt with here in a transversal way, "action-actions" and "dance-dance" (making actions and dancing understood classically) take place. In addition, concepts are included that impact the performative such as "la derive," expanded action, urban dance and the movement of people and ideas considered as dance, thoughts that transit from one place to another. DANCE AND PERFORMANCE ART AS ENCOUNTERS, TRAJECTORIES, TANGENTS, two disciplines that intersect one another... Dance works are created in relation to classic performances and are, in this way, also didactic works speaking to the repertoire of performance art. It could be understood as a choreographic conversation, in which performance art is used as space-temporal, scenic and conceptual space. We INHABIT the performance.

Work in progress. In the next issue we work we are inspired by Valie Export's performance, Body Configurations, where the relationship of the body with the landscape is dealt with by reflecting on its different meanings.

Working on these historical performances is a way to bring back to memory such important avant-garde works of art that should not be forgotten. Perhaps one of the innovative and necessary tasks of the artist is now the didactic one.

This whole process, which is open, is shared in what we call pedagogical experience in creation and training for thinkers in movement.

Some first notes of this new piece can currently be seen at FONOTECA in Seville as part of the programme of the performance/concert LA CIUDAD.

This part II of NUMBERS/NUMBERS is in turn inspired by the audiovisual and conceptual work of two artists Valie Export ("Body Configutartions"...) and Maurice Lemaitre ("Le film est déjà commencé?" Toujours a l'avant-garde de l'avant-garde jusqu'au paradis et au-dela,. ), with the theme of the transgression (profanation of the sacred) of limits as an idea, be it spatial, temporal, formal, conceptual, linguistic, customs, norms, thought, or even performance and theatrical rules. For example, the performance starts in two places at once, the dancer in the street makes a route and a series of detours until she reaches the theatre, while the hypnotist starts the hypnosis session inside the room, until they meet and start a ten with ten between the different practices, the dance, the training, the hypnosis. The public that will be able to arrange itself in the space as it wants, sitting up, lying down, can participate in the performance, can choose to be hypnotised or not, trained or not, to act, to question or not, to be expectant, to leave or to stay during the two hours that the performance can be expected to last so that the joint development of hypnosis and dance reaches its peak or apogee

This is the first piece that begins the new Cía. Octubre work directed by Salud López (SLD). The number 0 is inspired by John Cage's piece "4 minutes 33 seconds" and this work uses John Cage's piece as a conceptual, visual and sound scape. The performer immerses herself in the space proposed by the action of the performance, experimenting with different ways of interpreting silence.

Creation project in contemporary dance and performance.

Beyond the didactic, this series of works wants to thank the performance for its contribution to dance. Salud López has been working on this theme since she organised the workshop Retahílas: Trayectos y Tangentes entre la danza y la performance with Valie Export and Lily Djurie at the CAAc. She has also collaborated with Dora García on her performance La Esfinge, for which she created a workshop Reparaciones coreográficas López y García and invited La Ribot to participate in projects such as La mujer la danza and Bauhaus Catedrales.

Recently he has collaborated with artists who move in the field of performance and technology such as Isabel Valverde and Jessica Ann.

The idea is to use different performances known as conceptual, sensitive, scenic space of the dance itself, the dance is established within the performance making what we call a choreographic repair.

In number 0 we are inspired by John Cage's performance 4 minutes 33 seconds, a piece that reflects on silence. Other performances that will be dealt with are Body Configurations by Valie Export, Semiotics of the Kitchen by Martha Rosler and other works such as Maurice Lemaître's films and screenings such as TOUJOURS A L'AVANT-GARDE DE L'AVANT-GARDE JUSQU'AU PARADIS ET AU-DELA.

This work is being created within what we have called PAC (Open Process of Creation) developing a corpus for our Training for Thinkers in Movement ( EN PEN MOV), on the pedagogical experience in creation, which will be formalised in a qualification of a training of trainers given by the artists, generating resources through their own creative work, the process of creation and its surpluses, developing new materials and methodologies for trainers in all educational fields and disciplines that use artistic creation as a privileged moment for pedagogy and the transmission of knowledge and know-how.

Likewise, training is also a corporal practice that aims at personal and social well-being from a perspective of cognitive fragmentation in the face of a consumerist and alienating society.

We are carrying out experiences at individual and group level, with specific education and support classrooms of Institutes, treatment centres for addictions and other groups at risk of social exclusion.

NUMBERS/NUMBERS. 3 formats: sites spécifiques (Works in progress), medium format (6 performers, (3 dancers and 3 extras, Hypnotist, plastic artist; ...), large format (12 performers).

The creation of LaborarorioSLD/ Cía Octubre, entitled NUMBERS/NUMBERS Part II which inaugurated the cycle INHABITANTS of dance and heritage in the Antiquarium of Seville, on the 14th of February 2020, directed by Salud López together with Mario Sánchez (Mario the Magician), is a work of dance and hypnosis for thinkers in movement. With the backdrop of the panoramic view of the ruins of the antiquarium, which are sometimes seen and other times these evenings on screens, the audience, actor-spectators can talk and go on stage.

The performance ends by de-hypnotizing people who have previously been given post-hypnotic orders in the manner of a challenge.

The participation of the audience, which varies and is different, makes the show unique each time
